Montana has two paths. Montana Local Food Choice Act (MLFCA): zero licensing, permits, registration, or training — but in-person sales only. Traditional Cottage Food: registration with local health authority, one-time $40 fee. Both have no revenue cap. 2021 amendments expanded allowed foods to include perishable items.
