These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Cottage Launchpad website, platform, and services ("Services") operated by Cottage Launchpad LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.
By creating an account, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. This constitutes a legally binding clickwrap agreement. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Cottage Launchpad. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Cottage Launchpad is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.All information on our platform — including state law summaries, compliance checklists, AI-generated content, and label templates — is provided for informational and educational purposes only. This information should not be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with a qualified attorney or your state's Department of Agriculture. Laws change frequently, and our data may not reflect the most recent amendments.
Our platform uses third-party artificial intelligence models to power certain features such as the Compliance Copilot, Label Builder, and nutrition estimator. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated output before relying on it for business decisions. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legal sufficiency of any AI-generated content.
Some features require a paid subscription. Payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to pay all applicable fees as described on our pricing page. Key terms:
Certain tools and content are available for free (such as the State Wizard, basic calculators, and learning resources). We reserve the right to modify which features are free and which require a subscription, with reasonable notice to users.

All content, features, functionality, design elements, algorithms, scoring systems, data compilations, and software code on Cottage Launchpad are the exclusive property of Cottage Launchpad LLC and are protected by US and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, modification, reverse engineering, or creation of derivative works is strictly prohibited. Content you generate using our tools (such as labels or business plans) is yours to use for your business purposes, subject to these Terms.
You may not use any content, data, regulatory information, scores, analyses, or other output from Cottage Launchpad as training data for machine learning or artificial intelligence models, whether commercial or research, without prior written consent. Automated data collection, scraping, or systematic downloading of platform content for the purpose of building competing products, datasets, or AI training corpora is expressly prohibited.
Any API access, structured export, or machine-readable response made available by the Services is provided solely for your internal use in operating your own business on or with Cottage Launchpad. Using API responses, field structures, prompts, or derived outputs to perform competitive analysis, create substitute datasets, build wrappers, or support a competing product is prohibited without prior written consent.
Templates purchased through the Cottage Launchpad Marketplace are licensed, not sold. Buyers receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use purchased templates for their own cottage food business. Templates may NOT be:
Official Cottage Launchpad templates are proprietary trade secrets of Cottage Launchpad LLC. Any violation of these licensing terms may result in immediate account termination and legal action.
If you submit content to our platform (such as forum posts, reviews, or feedback), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with our Services. You retain ownership of your content and are responsible for ensuring it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
Our Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information provided is accurate, complete, or current.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cottage Launchpad shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cottage Launchpad, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification) will continue to apply.

Counter-notices may be submitted within 10 business days of receiving a takedown notification. We will process and investigate notices of alleged infringement and take appropriate actions under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable intellectual property laws. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.
Users may request export of their data in machine-readable format (JSON) by contacting [email protected]. Export will be provided within 30 days of a verified request. Exported data will include your account information, business profiles, saved labels, compliance roadmaps, and other user-generated content. This does not include proprietary platform data, algorithms, or third-party content.
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from any cause beyond the reasonable control of that party, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, epidemic, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, labor disputes, infrastructure failures, power outages, internet service disruptions, or failures of third-party service providers. The affected party shall give prompt notice to the other party and shall use commercially reasonable efforts to mitigate the effects of such event.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cottage Launchpad LLC with respect to the Services and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, proposals, and agreements, whether oral or written, between you and Cottage Launchpad regarding the Services.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the breach, termination, enforcement, interpretation, or validity thereof, including the determination of the scope or applicability of this agreement to arbitrate, shall be determined by binding arbitration administered by JAMS pursuant to its Comprehensive Arbitration Rules and Procedures. The arbitration shall take place in the State of Delaware. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.
CLASS ACTION WAIVER: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. If for any reason a claim proceeds in court rather than in arbitration, both parties waive any right to a jury trial. You acknowledge and agree that you are waiving the right to participate as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class action lawsuit, class-wide arbitration, private attorney general action, or any other representative proceeding.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the effective date. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
